Inside Namaste Yoga Studio in Las Vegas
The Studio

A Las Vegas Ashtanga, Massage & Yoga Center

Locally Owned and supportive of community, Namaste Yoga Studio's mission was to provide yoga and fitness classes in conjunction with massage therapy programs for pain management of the chronic pain sufferer.

The studio brought together the methods of the Ashtanga Yoga Method and the latest understanding of how yoga and touch therapeutics affect pain and injury. Understanding that pain is usually the primary complaint, pain relief became the primary concern. Teachers were specially trained in massage therapy, the neuroscience of pain, nervous-system anatomy and function, the Ashtanga Tristhana method, and pranayama.

If a doctor had recommended you exercise or try yoga, the staff was ready to help — and you could always talk with owner Gayla Coughlin, a Licensed Massage Therapist, with any questions about beginning a practice.

Locally owned & community supported

What does "Namaste" mean?

Most often translated as "I honor the spirit in you that also resides in me," Namaste is a common spoken valediction or salutation originating from the South Asian Hindus and Buddhists — a customary greeting when people meet, and a parting word, traditionally offered with a slight bow and palms pressed together at the chest.

On The Mat

The Classes

From a serious Ashtanga workout to gentle, beginner-friendly flows — plus dance fitness that promised to "ditch the workout and join the party." Something for every body and every level.

Ashtanga & Power Yoga

A fast-paced, intense style — "eight limbs" in Sanskrit — and the inspiration for Power Yoga. A serious workout for the experienced practitioner.

Vinyasa Flow

Breath-synchronized movement built on Sun Salutations, including a Hot / heated Vinyasa to strengthen and lengthen the whole body.

Anusara

A slower, gentler, beginner-friendly class pairing physical alignment with a positive philosophy — props welcome for those recovering from injury.

Therapeutic Yoga

"An education based yoga flow class based on Ashtanga primary series. Your success in relieving aches and pains increases exponentially when you understand how the body functions."

Kundalini

A different approach to yoga focusing on chakras, energy, breathwork and non-challenging poses.

Healing Touch

Massage Therapy & Pain Management

All sessions are personalized for your need. No "routine" or "pre-planned" treatments!

Beyond the mat, Namaste built massage-therapy programs around the chronic-pain sufferer — including work for injury, surgery recovery, edema, and post-mastectomy clients. A range of modalities was offered, each tailored to the person on the table.

Relaxation & Deep Tissue

From gentle, restorative relaxation work to focused deep-tissue pressure for stubborn tension.

Trigger Point & Myofascial

Trigger-point release and myofascial work to address the source of pain, not just the symptom.

Lymphatic & Ashiatsu

Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, plus sports massage for active bodies.

Reiki & Chakra Balancing

Energy work and chakra balancing to complement the studio's body-and-breath programs.

🎵
